Audi PR Codes Explained: Decode Your Audi's Options
Every Audi carries a list of PR codes — the factory shorthand for its options. Here's what they are and how to read yours.
What are Audi PR codes?
'PR' stands for Primärrückmeldung — Audi's term for the option codes recorded against each car. Every feature your Audi was built with, from the wheels to the headlight type, has a short PR code in the factory build record.
Examples of Audi PR codes
- Wheels — codes in the 4-series (e.g. alloy wheel designs and sizes)
- Headlights — Matrix LED vs standard LED
- Interior — leather, sport seats, inlays
- Tech — MMI Navigation, virtual cockpit, driver assistance
On their own the codes are cryptic — a proper Audi build sheet pairs each PR code with a clear description.
