Modern Bentleys are ordered in named specifications rather than simple trims. The VIN shows exactly which ones a car was built with.

How Bentley specifications work

Modern Bentleys group many options into named specifications, and each one has its own code in the factory record tied to the VIN. A decoded Bentley build sheet lists every specification and option in plain words.

Real codes from Bentley records

Same specification, different codes

The same specification can carry a different code on different models. In our records, City Specification is WF6 on the Continental GT and Flying Spur, but PF6 on the Bentayga.

Why it matters on a used Bentley

Specifications such as Touring, Mood Lighting or Blackline add real money to a Bentley's price, and some are hard to spot. The factory record shows what the car was built with, so you can check the advert before you pay for a specification the car doesn't have.
